Photo Shoot with Mi Madre

I am supposed to make it clear that we were not just goofing off here. This was a serious photo shoot for class where I was supposed to show "concept". :) ...but we did have fun and get some coffee out of it, too! It was actually kind of a last minute thing because I was supposed to be at class at 7 to get it printed and we did the shoot around 5. :/ whew So here they are!

I really like her expression in this one!

Sharing a vanilla latte...mom thinks World Cup is better. :)

I REALLY like this one!

Finally!

So. After TWO AND A HALF MONTHS of looking for a job, I have finally found the perfect one!! I'm interning at Visual Fusion! It's an actual graphic design studio! The name alone sounds exciting, but it's also located right in old town in downtown Wichita! I'm only working 10 hours a week, which may require another small part time job, but they're going to take me to their client meetings and I'm going to help them with production stuff!! SOO perfect!!
The Lord has taught me a lot while waiting for this job. I can't say that I've been completely patient. It has made me think a lot about what causes me to be joyful: is it the Lord and His promises to me, or is it my "happiness" in this world. There were many, many times during all of this waiting that I was depending on my circumstances to find joy, and, shockingly enough, I wasn't finding any there! I realized, something that I've always known, that ONLY looking to the LORD will bring me TRUE joy! He NEVER fails! I am so thankful for that!
So there's just a little something that I've been thinking a lot about! :) Thank you so much for all of you who were praying for me! I know it was only the Lord who allowed me to get this job, His timing is perfect!

Best Night Ever: Girl's Night 2008!

I highly recommend doing this for your own girl's group, but for it to be as great as ours was, you are going to need an Angie Hughes to plan all of it! :) She did an absolutely amazing job and even kept most of the events a secret from most of the girls! :) I can not even begin to tell you how much fun this whole night was...it's going to be a hard one to top!!

It all started with meeting at the Holiday Inn before going to the first stop! We were all to arrive dressed up with athletic clothes in a separate bag plus overnight clothes.

Angie peeking out the window to see if the Surprise had arrived!

Lydia and I running downstairs to catch everyone's
faces when they saw the Surprise! This was right before
I tripped and ran into the wall...haha

Faces as they all see the Surprise! Kimmy's face is the best! :)

A limo!!! Fully stocked with sparkling grape juice and pop!!

There's the great planner!! and Naomi! :)
Inside the limo

From the hotel the limo took us to Sumo's, which is a really, really good Japanese grill where they cook the food in front of you! It was so fun! I even had sushi for the very first time...and I like it! :)

Me, Naomi, and Lydia at dinner...haha

After dinner the limo took us to lazer tag!! I think that is my new favorite thing to do! We played a couple of games and Ellen Jacobberger and Jamie Thompson were the two winners!!

All of us crammed into the elevator in our really cool shirts!

After lazer tag we had some extra time in the limo so we went to Starbucks. Ok, now I would like for you to tell me a greater feeling than drinking coffee with great friends in a limo. Holy cow, I don't know how you can get any better than that! :) O yea, AND we all got t-shirts with our names on the back!!

The night was still not over! Since the pool at our hotel was closed for construction (boo!), the hotel next door offered to let us come over there and swim! So we all sat around in the hot tub!

After ALLL of that, we can back to the rooms and watched movies, drank more coffee, had cheesecake and Josh's famous french onion dip! :)

Everything was soo fun!

Here are the long awaited Katie and Anthony pictures! They were so fun and Anthony was the one coming up with all the pose ideas! It was great! Made my job a lot easier...not that it's hard...

Sorry there are no black frames. I just got a new laptop and don't have photoshop on it, yet. I'll get them put on there as soon as I get it!

Nate and Ellen: The Engagement Pictures

Here's their engagement pictures that we took on the KU campus in November. This was my first time doing something like this, besides in the class that I was taking, so I was glad when it turned out to be a good experience! :)

This location was actually a last minute
spot that Ellen chose and I'm really glad she
saw it because all the shots from
there were great!

I really like this one and I even used it in my
GD portfolio!

They were SOO much fun!

Last, but not least, here was the group that came
and found us and started clapping after each picture.
Yea, thanks for the support, guys! :)

Coming soon: Kim and Jake's Engagement pictures!

Mr. and Mrs. Jacobberger

Ok here's a few of my favorites from Nate and Ellen's wedding. I had so much fun doing this. There was even a point during the reception when the music was going (I think it was a Michael Buble song) and I just thought..hmm..I think I would like doing this! :) So maybe we'll see what happens!

Here's the wedding party. I LOVE how the colors just POP!
...but I love this more!

They were just so happy! :)
Ok, so I know isolated color is way WAY overdone...but...I kind of like it..
Ummm...no, we're not related..
Love the flowers, Luis! :)
So there was this huge frog while we were doing
family pictures and Sammy Lane just went right up
to it to try to touch it! It was so fun!
Congratulations Nate and Ellen!
